Intermittent Network Connection (VM's) (Résolu)

    We are currently seeing intermittent issue with some VPS on the vmware 1 server.

    We are investigating and trying to resolve the issue.

    Updates are below (latest first),

    15/7/21 - Only 1 VM showing network activity. (Waiting on client)

    • All VM's showing down have now been check and network activyt is showing.
    • If you are still having issues please repsonded/create a support ticket for further investigation.

    15/7/21 - Fixed 1 of the affected server

    • Realised the VM wasn’t able to even ping its own interfaces despite been online and active on the OS and the esxi host.
    • After number of tests/try’s with the network settings on the VM. Provided no results/answers.
    • Tried to see status of the "firewalld" on the OS. Results showed inactive (Masked)
    • Unmasked "firewalld" and started VM was ping able again.
    • Seeing if this fixes the other affected VM's.

    14/07/21 - Investigation to root cause and fix are still on going.

    • Virtual Machine are online showing no errors but not visible on the internet.
    • Following investigations from ourselves and the data center virtual machines affected that are online have lost all connection to the internet.
    • No settings have been changed. This affects just over 50% of VPS on the server.
    • Root cause and fix still unknown at this time.

    We will update as soon as possible thank you your patience

Data Center Network Maintenance (Résolu)

    You may see a small period of disruption whilst services are moved between pairs of equipment. All connections that are being worked on are part of redundant pairs. All customers should consider their services to be “at risk” for the entire duration of the maintenance window

    The Datacentre network engineering team will be moving services within the Maidenhead site between our current platform and our new 100G Cisco platform.

    The maintenance work has been split into multiple nights to allow for a controlled and careful move of circuits between the devices with adequate time for testing of each moved connection and any rollbacks that may be required. We will be performing the maintenance on the nights 6th - 10th September 2021, beginning at 23:00 (BST) on each night and finishing at 04:00 (BST) the following morning.

    We are upgrading our VMware 2 server's OS tomorrow (18/05/21) starting around 23:30 ending 01:30.

    This is a 2-hour window for any issue that might come up.

    We expect only a 15-30 minutes of expected downtime in this window.

    This will affect the below services we offer,

    • Virtual Servers,
    • cPanel Hosting.

    Our website/support will be offline as well if you have any issue after 19/5/21 01:30 please do get in touch.

    Due to a snapshot of the cPanel server this has filled up the disk space on the VMware Server resulting in this server been offline.

    This is bee dealt with however this is taking its time.

    Will be back online ASAP.

Mirgration Of Cpanel to New Cpanel Uk 01 (Résolu)

  • Due to the mirgration from the old cpanel server (cpanel) to the new one (cpanel-uk-01) there might be a little downtime.

    The main downtime is the DNS servers for when they pick up the new server and spread to the world.

    Our Cpanel1 server had a major network interface re-config by latest update.
    After investaging the issue we managed to get main network back online.

    There are services that are been effected and are currently getting resloved as we speak.

    This should be back to normal by tonight.

    High disk,
    Major services are failing to auto reboot.
    Accounts are not been reported correctly within WHM.

    The server may not be reachable for the weekend for atleast a few hours while transfers are taking place.

    Server is been re-installed to a fresh install.

Vmware Host Disk Full (Résolu)

  • This effects the shared hosting platform.
    The host decided to crteate multipule copies of the hard drive which filled it up all the space thus preventing the Shared1 server from been able to run.

    For me to fix Shared1 had to be rebuilt if you have any issues aftr the server rebuild please report it to us.

    Update - 6/10/15 - Server is reinstalled and backups are been restored as we speak.

Host Server Failure (Résolu)

    On the 9/7/15 the host server had dual hard drive failure. this caused the server to be down for the duration while the new hard drives where installed and the data recover.

    The affected Servers are,
    • All vitual priate servers,
    • Cpanel Server.
    THis has now been resolved and there should be no futher issues. If you do experience any issues please put a support ticket in to ourselves to have a look and investagate.

Essential Maintenance and upgrades (Résolu)

    Due to the problems that some of you have been suffering, we've been looking into the issue for a while and have only now come up with a possible solution fix.

    The reason where doing this is cause the server is not accepting passive ftp requests - this is due to the software where using to host the server.

    The fix is simple and easy to install and hopefully to implement the new server rather fast and minimal delay to your hosting. This will be done over a couple of days and with the expected view of been completed in advance.

    In order to do this we are going to need to take the current server offline and then manually rebuild the new server again and have your hosting backup ASAP.
